Education: University of Manitoba, M.D.

Specialty: Physicians, Surgeon, and Family Practice.

Positions: Practiced medicine in Winnipeg after graduating in 1948. Member of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp, Medical Health Ocer in the Canadian Immigration Service(1952) in Karlsruhe, Germany and organized the Emergency Medical Center in Soest, Germany. Returned to Canada in 1954 and continued to work for Canadian Immigration Services and established a medical practice in Winnipeg where he was a general physician and surgeon for many years. Joined St. John Ambulance as a divisional surgeon for Seven Oaks Nursing Division in 1954, St. John Ambulance Corp Surgeon in 1960.Chairman of the Pharmacy Committee of the Manitoba Medical Association, 1964-1967. Head of Family Practice at the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg from 1966 until his death in 1967.

Non-medical contributions to the community: Member of Mount Sinai Lodge AF and AM.

Observations, personal reflections, or commentary: Dr. Caminetsky was endeared to his patients, and respected by his colleagues. He served his community and profession with integrity, and sensitivity.
