Captain in Canadian Army (Medical Officer). Landed in Normandy on D-day, with the 14th Field Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery). After the war, he established a practice in Winnipeg on Sargent Ave until 1971 when he moved to Vancouver to work at the Reach Clinic, a walk-in clinic serving as an outreach program for the UBC Dept. of Paediatrics.
Volunteered with Care Canada and worked for a month in Malaysia as an MD.
Wrote several articles including one published in Journal of the American Geriatrics Society: “Fractures of the Hip: A Three-Year Survey in One Hospital, Including Experience with the Pugh Nail Procedure.”
Observations, personal reflections, or commentary for this individual: Wrote (and passed) his College of Family Practice exams in approximately 1970, to qualify for the job at the Reach Clinic in Vancouver.
