He held this position for 17 years. Prior to that he was also Chief of Medical Staff of Credit Valley Hospital, head of Emergency, president of The Ontario Chapter of Family Physicians, \u00a0and many other positions while he maintained a thriving medical practice for many years, before he took the position as CEO etc of The College of Family Physicians \u00a0Canada.<\/div>\n<div>\u200eIn 2015 he was awarded the highest honour in Family Medicine when he was presented with The Victor Johnston Award for his contribution to Medicine in Canada.<\/div>\n<div>Cal has also received The Queen&#8217;s Jubilee Medal for his work in Family Medicine in Canada.
